Coach Attila Agh takes pride in being a positive influence on young athletes and to be teaching human values throughout the game, with its competitive environment. During his more than 2 decades of coaching, Attila has worked with hundreds of juniors on all levels and ages and influenced them to develop lifelong passion for the game of squash.

Since moving to Connecticut in 2015, Attila has helped to grow the sport within the community, introducing the game to over hundreds of new players. Attila has been affiliated with U.S. Squash since 2013 and continues to coach the U. S. Junior Regular and National Squads.

Before coming to GFA, Attila earned his P.E. degree with a concentration in Sports Psychology and Kinesiology at the Daniel Berzsenyi Teacher’s Training College in Hungary. Attila also was a Hungarian Collegiate National Champion as well as a skill-level Champion in the U.S.

By opening SquashPort, Attila wanted to continue inspiring young players. His objective is to implement the game of squash into his student’s lifestyle, and transfer his passion to help them fall in love with the game.  Achieving this is what drives him.

“I genuinely find great fulfillment in seeing happiness sparkling in my student’s eye after achieving his/her goal at a squash tournament or on the court.”

With over two decades of dedicated experience in junior squash coaching, I am a certified Level 1 and Level 2 coach by the Asian Squash Federation. My passion for the sport and unwavering commitment have borne numerous successes in junior coaching, as I’ve guided aspiring players to national rankings and collegiate recruitment. In addition to my achievements in mentoring young talents, I’ve played a pivotal role in developing effective training methods for grassroots players and have collaborated with past and current professional squash athletes. Furthermore, I’ve proudly contributed to the establishment and growth of squash programs in middle and high schools, furthering the sport’s reach and influence. I’m a big believer in hard work and respect for one another; my success in coaching relies heavily on these two pillars. A player can only improve if that person wants to, and my goal is to help them achieve the best that they can be.
